Travel Websites for Booking Flights

Google Flights

Use the “explore” tab when using this site. Instead of trying to book exact locations, use the tab to see what flight prices make sense. The more flexible you are, the more flights you can take! Google.com

Skyscanner

I use this in conjunction with Google flights. It searches sites from around the world and in different languages. Skyscanner.com

Going

This is a paid site however it sends you last-minute deals for any departure city you want to see. I paid for the $50 version and I used it for my $300 flight to Peru! You need to be flexible on your dates to get the most out of the platform. Going.com

Travel Websites for Booking Accommodations

Booking.com

I use this to book apartments worldwide, and also for hotels in Asia as many of them do not have their own portal to book rooms, they go right through booking.com

Hostelworld

I use this to book hostels. I only stay in private rooms instead of dorms as I like being able to mingle with other travelers but have my own space to sleep. Hostelworld.com

Viator

Another great booking tool for tours, I have found that there are more private, luxury options on this site versus other sites. Viator.com

Eatwith

This is a fun platform that connects you to local hosts where you experience a meal from the comfort of a local home. It’s so fun! Eatwith.com

Safety Wing

I only recommend this travel insurance company as it’s the only one that I have used. I know several travelers who use World Nomads however the customer service is better with Safety Wing from what I have heard. SafetyWing.com
