In 2016 I was working a LOT in New York City. I missed several friends and family events and decided I needed a change. After complete burnout, I packed up and moved to Thailand in 2017.

Instead of fleeing the country immediately, I wish I had taken some time for myself. Maybe if I had gone on a wellness retreat all those years ago, things would have been different. Now there are more options for people to take a break and focus on self-care than just moving countries!
